Will is a member of his department's P.A.T. Personal Assistance Team, which provides Critical Incident Debriefings after incidents such Officer Involved Shootings, Line of Duty Deaths and Serious Injuries to Officers/Citizens.
William Marik is an 18 year law enforcement veteran. He began his career at the LAPD, where he worked as a field-training officer and as a detective in South Central Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles , he was assigned to the PATRIOT Unit which targeted high profile felony offenders and the LAPD Robbery Unit.
William transferred to the largest Washington State County Sheriffs Office in 1991. At the Sheriffs Office, William has worked as a field-training officer and Program Manager for federal grants.
Since 1999 William has been assigned as a Detective to the Fraud\White Collar Crime Unit. William specializes in large federal bank fraud investigations that involve counterfeiting, bank fraud and ID theft. William has received recognition from the US Attorneys Office, SSAOIG, the US Postal Inspection Service and the United States Secret Service.
William is a Master Instructor in all levels of Defensive Tactics and Firearms for the State of Washington . He is also a recognized Instructor of Record for numerous Washington State colleges and universities. William holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
Born and raised in Southern California, DJ entered into the Banking industry straight out of high school. He worked a few years in the banking and accounting trades and relocated to the Seattle area. After serving with the U.S. Marine Corps as a Military Police Investigator, he completed his degree at the University of Washington, where he studied Business Administration & Finance. He joined the largest Washington State County Sheriff's Office in Seattle, eventually working his way into Detectives, where he specialized in Fraud, Organized Crime and Computer Forensics. He became well known in his fight against Financial Fraud & Identity Theft, serving as a law enforcement lobbyist in the state's capitol, seeking to toughen the laws and overhaul our state ID system. Over the past decade, he has taught and consulted for numerous corporations and organizations, teaching them how to protect themselves against fraud and identity theft.
